Two killed in anti-government protest in Bangladesh

Two people were killed and dozens injured in clashes between anti-government protesters and police in Bangladesh. The clashes occurred on the first day of a three-day protest organized by the main opposition party, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). The BNP is calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to allow for elections to be held under a neutral caretaker government. The clashes took place in the central district of Kishoreganj.
