A former Philadelphia police officer has been sentenced to 15 to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting women and girls, including child sex assault, child pornography, and kidnapping. Patrick Heron, who posed as an active officer to lure victims, was accused of predatory behavior spanning years and involving dozens of vulnerable young women and girls. Investigators have identified 48 victims, but many remain unknown and may not have come forward.
