Quezon and East Avenue subway stations begin construction — DOTr

MANILA, Philippines --- The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday kicked off the construction of two more underground subway stations with a groundbreaking ceremony. The Quezon Avenue and East Avenue underground subway stations in Quezon City are part of the Metro Manila Subway Project. DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista said that the two stations are targeted to begin operation by 2028. "The whole subway will connect with different railway networks, such as LRT 1, MRT 3, MRT 7, and the Grand Common station. It will also connect with LRT 2 at Anonas Station. It will also connect with two stations of the North-South Commuter Rail.
