The Bombay high court issued notice to SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science and Commerce, asking them to show cause for admitting a student who did not meet the eligibility criteria set by Mumbai University. The student had petitioned the court for a hall ticket to appear in the final year examination. The court observed a complete non-adherence to the eligibility rule by the college and stated that the student should not have been given admission. The court also mentioned that damages may be imposed on the college.
