This year marks the fifth release of a commemorative stamp by Canada Post in honor of Diwali. Previously issued in 2017, 2020, 2021, and 2022, the stamp, designed by Kristine Do and illustrated by Rena Chen, endeavors to encapsulate the spirit of Diwali. Featuring marigold flowers and mango-tree leaves, the stamp is adorned with small clay oil lamps or diyas at its corners, inspired by the traditional toranas that embellish the entrances and facades of homes and temples during Diwali.
