CBI raids police station in south Delhi, arrests cop in bribery case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a police officer on bribery charges in South Delhi. This is the second such raid in the area within the last three months, raising concerns about corruption within the Delhi Police. The CBI has registered a case against the head constable for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 to allow construction on a complainant's plot of land. The CBI laid a trap and caught the officer while accepting the bribe. Several other police officers have also been arrested on bribery charges this year.
