BMC to terminate contract for cement concrete roads in Mumbai
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to terminate the contract of Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd (RSIL) for failing to start work on cement concrete (CC) roads in Mumbai. RSIL is one of the five companies that had been awarded the contract. The BMC has issued a termination notice to RSIL and asked for a reply within 15 days. If the contract is terminated, RSIL may be barred from participating in BMC tenders for two years. Former BJP corporator Makarand Narwekar has demanded that RSIL be blacklisted permanently.
