A committee has been formed by the BMC commissioner to investigate the deadly fire at a building in Goregaon. The committee, led by additional municipal commissioner Sudhakar Shinde, will determine the cause of the fire and assign responsibility. It will also assess the functionality of the building's fire-fighting systems and make recommendations to prevent future incidents. Seven people were killed and 62 injured in the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a short-circuit. The committee's first meeting will be held on Monday.
