Over 2,600 dengue cases in Delhi in 1.5 months

The number of dengue cases in Delhi has risen sharply in the past month and a half, with 3,013 cases reported until September 22nd, compared to 348 cases until August 5th. The city also recorded one dengue death. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) shared these details during a house meeting, after accusations that the actual figures were being concealed. The number of malaria cases has also increased, with 294 cases reported so far. A budget of Rs 81.6 crore has been allocated to control vector-borne diseases this year. The opposition expressed unhappiness over the delay in releasing weekly reports on these diseases.
