NGO, Gujarat Forest Dept encourages students from 200 schools to plant 45,000 trees

Gujarat State Forest Department is teaming up with Ahmedabad based NGO Dr KR Shroff Foundation (KRSF) to instill environmental responsibility in schoolchildren by encouraging them to plant and nurture 45,000 trees. Supported by officials in both Sabarkantha and Arvalli districts, and already underway in around 200 schools, the project is called ‘One Child One Tree’ and so far around 25,000 trees have been planted by children.
