Over 1,000 individuals in Chhattisgarh, India have received palliative care in the last two years. The care is primarily provided to patients with advanced cancer and complex symptoms, as well as those with sickle cell disease and end-stage kidney or lung disease. Despite its impact, palliative care remains relatively unknown to the public. Lack of awareness among the general population about the availability and benefits of palliative care is a significant challenge.
