NTPC Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of NTPC, has announced the commercial operation of its first project, a 50 MW wind project in Gujarat. This brings the total installed capacity of the NTPC Group to 73,874 MW, with a total renewable energy operational capacity of 3,364 MW. NTPC REL is also investing in green hydrogen technologies. Based on green hydrogen storage and microgrid principle, it is setting up a large capacity in Ladakh. NTPC targets to have 60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2032.
