New study urges to redirect infectious disease control efforts from kids to older children and adolescents

Infectious diseases cause three million deaths among children and adolescents annually, with India, Nigeria, and Pakistan having the largest disease burden, a new study in The Lancet reported. The diseases account for more than half of such deaths in low to middle-income countries since 1990.
