A public interest litigation (PIL) was filed by a law student Aishwarya Shandilya for making the wearing of helmet compulsory for two-wheeler riders citing a road mishap in which two persons were killed. The petition filed in Gwalior bench of MP high court was later transferred to the principal bench in Jabalpur before the bench headed by the chief justice.
