MANILA, Philippines --- A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit Surigao del Sur early Saturday morning, the state seismology bureau said. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the tectonic earthquake had a depth of focus of 25 kilometers.
