MANILA, Philippines --- Two people were reported dead while 10 were injured due to firecracker-related incidents nationwide, the Philippine National Police said on Monday. The PNP said these casualties were reported as of 6 a.m. on December 25. Also, the PNP recorded six incidents of illegal discharge of firearms where one person was reported to be injured. Authorities also confiscated a total of 34,031 prohibited firecrackers worth P180,240. Among the confiscated firecrackers are piccolo, poppop, five-star, pla-pla, judas belt, "sawa" and others.
