MANILA, Philippines--A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.5 hit the northern part of Masbate province on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 7:14 p.m. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), the quake's epicenter was located at 10 kilometers northeast Masbate City, with a depth of focus of only 8 kilometers. The quake's origin was classified as tectonic.
