Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan has called for the central government to step in to resolve the row over Maratha reservation. Chavan believes that the current 50% ceiling on reservation must be addressed and a deadline must be set to resolve the dispute. He also emphasized that the reservation issue extends beyond just Marathas in Marathwada and requires the intervention of the central government. NCP working president Supriya Sule has also demanded a special session of the state legislature to discuss the reservation for Marathas.
