Delhi's air quality is expected to remain in the 'very poor' category for the next few days, according to pollution monitoring agencies. The city requires strong winds to disperse the accumulated pollutants, but the current wind speeds are too low. Most of the pollution is due to local sources, with minimal contribution from neighbouring states. Punjab has recorded a high number of stubble burning incidents, and despite efforts to reduce them, there are reports of a late harvest which may lead to an increase in such incidents.
