Heavy showers lashed the Mumbai region for the second consecutive day, with a few areas getting water-logged. However, the rainfall recorded during 8.30am-8.30pm Friday-46 mm in Colaba & 70.3mm in Santacruz-was less compared to Thursday. IMD said the rain intensity in Mumbai would reduce from Saturday and issued a green alert. A yellow alert has been issued for Thane, Palghar and Raigad. With the heavy rain, the stocks in the 7 lakes supplying water to Mumbai rose to 93% Friday.
