The newly established National Cooperative for Exports Ltd (NCEL) in India has received orders worth Rs 7,000 crore ($930 million) so far, according to Cooperation Minister Amit Shah. The cooperative aims to ensure that the benefits of exports reach member farmers of cooperatives and will share around 50% of the export profit with them. NCEL will also assist farmers in manufacturing products for the export market and purchase commodities to be exported at the minimum support price.
