Traders in Nashik, India have decided to indefinitely close onion auctions to protest against the government's imposition of a 40% duty on onion exports. The step by the central government would down the cost at which growers can export onions. The association representing onion traders in the district has said the government decision will adversely impact onion farmers and its export.
