Reliance Jio has completed its minimum network roll-out obligations in all 22 Licensed Service Areas (LSA) across India and testing, making it the first company in the world to accomplish this, according to a company statement. Sectors including education hubs, banks and hospitals are using Jio’s mmWave-based 5G internet connectivity, which can offer speeds up to 2Gbps, suggests the report. It is expected that the company's pan-India 5G coverage will be completed by December 2023, with the roll-out of its mmWave-based 5G connectivity for enterprises starting on 15 August, Jio said.
