New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art is hosting an exhibition of early Indian sculptures containing Buddhist stone exhibits curated by John Guy. The exhibition, which runs from 21 July to 13 November, will include a catalogue named Tree and Serpent: Early Buddhist Art in India 200 BCE-400 BCE, and seeks to demonstrate the Deccan region's central role in the spread of art across early India and beyond.
