Tata's Air India airline conducted walk-in interviews for pilots and cabin crew in Delhi and Mumbai yesterday. The group plans to hire more than 4,200 cabin crew and 900 pilots this year as part of its major revamp, which also includes orders for 470 jets. Recent news that Go First (formerly known as Go Airlines) filed for bankruptcy in a country where post-pandemic air travel demand has boomed came as a shock to many in the airline. However, it has led to increased competition for staff and planes as the industry recovers.
