The dollar hovered around two-month lows against six other currencies. In contrast, the New Zealand dollar rallied after its central bank unexpectedly raised interest rates by 50bps to a more than 14-year high of 5.25%. The response exceeds market expectations, in which the bank's move to raise rates by 25bps would be more likely. The US employment report on Friday may also significantly affect market activity in the coming days.
