Reciprocity involves harmonised protection of consumer rights. Both countries involved in sharing data would seek adequate safeguards. This will also require a common framework on access to new sources of data. Data sharing is bound to be asymmetric across industries - such as between banks and non-banks - but is expected to promote competition.
