The Commission for Air Quality Management has banned BS-3 petrol and BS-4 diesel cars in Delhi-NCR due to rising air pollution levels. However, these vehicles are still allowed to ply in Gurgaon, as the authorities are awaiting directions from the state transport department. Nearly 2 lakh privately-owned vehicles in Gurgaon have been affected by the ban, causing inconvenience for commuters. Many are making alternative arrangements for commuting to Delhi, while others criticize the ban, stating that it is ineffective in curbing pollution and only encourages bribery.
