On April 7, the IDF withdrew all of its manoeuvring ground forces from the Gaza Strip, leaving just one brigade to secure a corridor splitting the Palestinian enclave. Troops of the 98th Division were pulled out of the Khan Younis area after four straight months of fighting, said the IDF. Only one brigade, Nahal, remains in the Gaza Strip and has been tasked with securing the Netzarim Corridor. Israeli officials said a delegation will head to Cairo to attend talks on a ceasefire and the release of captives.
