UK to appeal ruling over Northern Ireland amnesty law

The United Kingdom has appealed a Belfast court ruling that the law granting immunity to combatants involved in historic sectarian violence violated the European Convention on Human Rights. The Belfast High Court ruled that the law breached Article 2 and Article 3 of the ECHR.
