The IRGC* said it received two new warships on Feb. 19 as Iran unveiled new weaponry amid heightened tensions with US and Israel. The two stealth warships Sayyad Shirazi and Hassan Bagheri are the second and third models of Soleimani-class vessels, the IRGC said. Last week, Iran also unveiled two new air defence systems amid mounting tensions in the region over the Gaza war. Defence Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said the “agile” Arman system “can be prepared for operation in less than three minutes”.
