Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has died in jail, adding to a long list of mystery deaths related to President Putin’s critics. The prison service of the Yamalo-Nenets region said that Navalny "felt unwell" after a walk, and "almost immediately lost consciousness". Navalny, 47, one of Putin’s most visible and persistent critics, was being held in a jail about 40 miles north of the Arctic Circle. Navalny’s wife Yulia Navalnaya said that Putin and his regime must be punished for “atrocities” against her husband. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the Russian critic was “obviously” killed by Putin. US Vice President Kamala Harris said that Navalny's death is a "sign of Putin's brutality". Russia’s Foreign Ministry accused the US of making “sweeping accusations” over Navalny’s death. Navalny was a leading critic against what he called Russia’s “stupid” war in Ukraine, blaming it on "bloodthirsty obsession” of Kremlin elites. Watch this video to know more.
