Albania's Parliament reported a cyberattack by hackers attempting to access and erase its data, causing a temporary halt in its operations. The cyberattack, allegedly carried out by Iranian-based hackers known as Homeland Justice, also targeted a cellphone provider and an air flight company. This attack comes after Albania previously experienced a cyberattack in July 2022, which was attributed to the Iranian Foreign Ministry in retaliation for sheltering members of the Iranian opposition group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq (MEK).
