Kyiv says 3 killed, 5 wounded in Russian shelling in east Ukraine

Russian shelling at mining facilities in Toretsk, Ukraine, leaves three dead and several injured. The attack targeted two mines, damaging administrative buildings and equipment. The first mine was cut off from electricity, but all 32 miners underground were safely brought to the surface. The region of Donetsk, known for its coal mines, has been partially controlled by Russian forces since 2014. Toretsk, with a population of 31,000, is located north of Avdiivka, a hotspot of fighting in the east.
