Irregular meals, benches as beds. As hostages return to Israel, details of captivity begin to emerge

The conditions of the hostages' captivity under Hamas have started to emerge as they return to Israel after seven weeks. The freed hostages appear to be in stable physical condition but have lost weight due to irregular meals of mainly rice and bread. They slept on rows of chairs pushed together and sometimes had to wait hours for the bathroom. Some hostages were held underground in tunnels. While most are in good physical condition, at least two needed serious medical care.
