Hamas delays second release of hostages until Israel lets aid into northern Gaza

Hamas' military wing announced on Saturday the postponement of the second group of hostages' handover, citing Israel's non-compliance with the truce agreement terms. The entry of humanitarian aid into northern Gaza and the criteria for prisoner release were the contested issues, as stated by the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades. The group of hostages, captured during Hamas attacks on southern Israel on October 7, was scheduled to be released on the second day of a four-day truce, with a three-to-one ratio exchange of Palestinian prisoners.
