France expels Palestinian activist to Egypt

France has expelled a Palestinian activist, Mariam Abu Daqqa, to Egypt after a court battle. Abu Daqqa, a leading member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), had a 50-day visa to visit France for conferences on the Middle East conflict. However, the interior ministry deemed her presence a risk following the October 7 Hamas attacks against Israel. Abu Daqqa criticized her expulsion as an attack on Palestine's right to have a state.
