Morocco unearths Roman-era second century site in Rabat

Archaeologists in Morocco have discovered a Roman-era site in Rabat, which includes a port district, bath, and cemetery dating back to the second century. The site, now the third largest in Morocco, will provide insights into the lives of Roman settlers and romanised Moroccans during that time. The bath covers an area of over 2000 square meters and resembles imperial counterparts in Rome. The excavation is ongoing to uncover the port and other parts of one of the largest Roman towns in the country.
