Pakistan, Afghanistan Torkham border reopens after eight days of closure

The Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border has been reopened after eight days of closure. The decision to resume movement on the trade border was made by both countries. Tensions between the Pakistan and Afghanistan Army have subsided, allowing vehicular and foot traffic to resume. Vehicles are being allowed to cross the border after clearance, and people who were stuck for over a week are also permitted to crossover after strict inspection.
