Cyclone leaves 21 dead in southern Brazil

At least 21 people have died in southern Brazil due to heavy rain and winds caused by an extratropical cyclone. The state of Rio Grande do Sul has experienced its deadliest weather disaster, with flooding and landslides affecting 67 municipalities and forcing nearly 6,000 people from their homes. The small town of Mucum has been particularly devastated, with over 85% of the city flooded.
