Pakistan seeks Saudi Arabia's confirmation for funds to ink IMF deal

Cash-strapped Pakistan is seeking Saudi Arabia's confirmation for securing additional deposits of $2 billion and a $950 million loan from the World Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank for signing a Staff-Level Agreement with the IMF, media reports said on Monday. Pakistan is eagerly waiting for the $1.1 billion tranche of funding from IMF, which the global lender is refusing.
