National Games: Uttarakhand have officially anounced the number of specialised volunteers for the 38th National Games, as the event will feature 1200 specialised volunteers provided by the National Federation Sports of India.
The deployment of these 1200 individuals will act as a huge assist to the 2300 general volunteers that were selected by the Uttarakhand Government.

This grand celebration of sports is expected to significantly boost sports development in the state," said Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand Chief Minister.
The event will commence from Tuesday, January 28, and according to reports, almost 30,000 volunteers have registered for the 38th National Games. Therefore, the deployment of specialised volunteers becomes even more handy.
The selection and training of these volunteers have been done via online mode, and their final and confirmed recruitment will be based on the examination results.
"Specialized sports volunteers will also be deployed alongside the general volunteers. These volunteers, provided by the National Federation Sports of India, will be stationed at various locations," said Prashant Arya, Additional Chief Executive Officer of the National Games Secretariat.
Who Are Specialised Volunteers?The Specialised Volunteers are the ones who come from a sports background, and possess experience in both national and international events. In contrast to general volunteers who take care of duties like parking, transportation, and other logistical support, specialized volunteers are tasked with roles specifically linked to sports management.
What Is The Pay For These Volunteers?According to Prateek Joshi, who oversees volunteer-related activities, specialized sports volunteers will receive a daily honorarium of INR 1,000, whereas, the general volunteers will receive a daily honorarium of INR 500.
