The Kolkata Knight Riders' whopping IPL bid of Rs 24.75 crore for Australian pacer Mitchell Starc surprised the cricketing community. Even the legendary Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar expressed his opinion, stating that no player is deserving of such a substantial amount. Gavaskar added that Starc will need to deliver an exceptional performance in the IPL 2024 to justify the hefty paycheque. "I don't think anybody is worth that kind of money. If Starc can make an impact and win maybe four out of the 14 matches that he plays, then you can say money's worth."
