Hardik replaces Rohit as Mumbai Indians captain ahead of IPL 2024
Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians announced on Friday that star all-rounder Hardik Pandya will be leading the team in the 2024 edition of the tournament. Hardik takes the reins from Rohit Sharma, who led the franchise to five titles. Hardik's leadership credentials were showcased during his two-year stint with the Gujarat Titans, where he guided the team to successive IPL finals. Overall, Hardik has won five IPL trophies, four with MI (2015, 2017, 2019, 2020) and GT (2022).
