Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer took to social media platform 'X', formerly Twitter, to articulate his apprehensions about the adverse impact of the 'Impact Player' rule on the bowling skills and overall progress of all-rounders. According to the 'Impact Player' rule, a franchise has the flexibility to substitute a player from the playing eleven with one of the five substitutes named during the toss, providing teams with added depth in either batting or bowling during the course of the match.
