Bishan Singh Bedi: 'Yaaro ka yaar and a hard taskmaster'

Bishan Singh Bedi, one of the celebrated icons from India's famous spin quartet including Erapalli Prasanna, Srinivas Venkataraghavan and Bhagwath Chandrasekhar, died aged 77 on Monday, leaving the Indian cricket fraternity and his admirers in tears. Bishan, who claimed 266 wickets in 67 Tests in an illustrious international career between 1967 and 1979, was a man who would call a spade a spade, a jovial person, a hard taskmaster and a professional on the field.
