Former India wicketkeeper Saba Karim on Thursday backed Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan as the top contenders to step in at positions 4 and 5 if Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul miss out on the Asia Cup and ODI World Cup squads due to their respective injuries. With the India squad for the Asia Cup likely to be announced on Sunday it remains to be seen whether national selectors pick Shreyas and Rahul, who have been out of action for months.
