Defending champion and World No.1 Iga Swiatek marched into the French Open final win a straight set over 14th seed Beatriz Haddad Maia on Thursday. Swiatek, chasing her third Roland Garros crown, defeated the Brazilian 6-2, 7-6(7) in the second semifinal on Court Philippe-Chatrier. The reigning champion Swiatek, bidding to become the first woman to successfully defend the title since Justine Henin in 2007, will be facing unseeded Karolina Muchova in the finale on Saturday.
