Wrestlers return without immersing medals in Ganga after farmer leader Tikait seeks '5 days time'

Dramatic scenes emerged from Haridwar on Wednesday evening as the protesting wrestlers, who had reached the bank of river Ganga to immerse their medals into the holy river, were stopped by farmer leader Naresh Tikait. Country's top wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik had reached Haridwar and sat around the banks of river Ganga in silence in protest against Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who has been accused of sexual harassment.
