Mumbai: Despite losing the toss, India dominated the first session as pacer Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav penetrated through Bangladesh defence to remove Bangladesh's top three batsmen.
The first to go was Bangladesh's opener, Imrul Kayes, who was removed by pacer Umesh Yadav, after scoring 6 from 18 balls. At that time, Bangladesh were at 12/1.
At the same score, another wicket fell down, when tall pacer Ishant Sharma removed Shadman Islam, who went back to the pavilion, after notching up just 6 from 24 balls.
However, after the fall of first two wickets, a very short partnership of 19 runs had formed between Captain Mominul Haque and Mohammad Mithun. Although, the partnership soon came to an end, after Mohammed Shami trapped Mithun before the wicket, to leave Bangladesh reeling at 31/3.
Currently, Bangladesh's steering lies in the hands of Mominul and wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, who are still at the crease. The Bangladeshi skipper is on 22, while Rahim is batting at 14.
The duo has put on partnership of 20, to guide the tigers to 63 before lunch.
